Large to very large hail is possible on Thursday afternoon and evening as a cold front moves in from the north. Damaging winds are also possible along with a tornado or two.
Severe storms are expected this afternoon and early evening over the northern half of the region. Large hail and damaging winds are the primary hazards.
Slightly below normal temperatures are expected Friday through Sunday. Low chances of showers and thunderstorms along the Rio Grande on Friday gradually spread to all areas the upcoming weekend into Monday. Tuesday looks dry and warmer with highs back in the 90s for most.
